As an update on our efforts to assist the front line medical workers in New York, we have been providing transportation for primarily nurses and doctors with the New York State Nurses Association or Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Assistance Response Team. We began on the 3rd of April and to date have transported close to 300 individuals at no charge to them. We greatly appreciate the encouragement and monetary support we have received. It is because of this support that we are able to carry this work through the 10th of May, which should see the effort through to when the temporary workers will probably leave the city.
Thank you for making this possible. Many of the nurses have expressed an appreciation for this service. Even though it is a small thing in a huge effort, it has been meaningful and tangible to many of them. As we now have all the funding needed to make it to the 10th, we no longer have a need for donations. However, I wanted to extend my genuine thanks for both your donations and your encouragement – it has made a difference to our team, our chauffeurs, and most importantly to the brave medical workers in NYC.
